Store cows, in forward condition, met with a keen demand, and practically the whole yarding was clcarcd under Lho hammer at ruling mar,ket rates. The following gi'ves an indication of the prices ruling:—Four-tooth wethers, shorn, 205.; fat shorn cwos, 215.; forward conditioned shorn ewes, 18s. 6d.; good mixed woolly- hoggets, 255. 5d.; year-ling-steers and lieifcrs, 345. to £2; wellbred yearlings, £2 to '£3 Bs.; well-bred P.A. .2-ycar heifers, £4 10s. to £5 55.; 3year heifers. £5 10s.; forward cows, £6 to £6 12s. 6d.; fat cows, £8 to £8 10s.; springing heifers, £4 to £6 155.; a good line of Hlereford 2-year bulls -eold <at logns., lljgns., Ifljgns., Bsgns., and Bgn-s.; 3-year Hereford bulls, BJgns. and 83gns.; other bulls, £3 7s. fid. to £5 15s. There, were moderate entries and a good attendance at the Addiugton yards. Good store sheep maintained their values, but inferior sorts were easier. Heavy beef did not sell so well. There was a good sale for fat lambs, and fat sheap were scarce and dear. Store Sheep.—Shorn two-tooth wethers, 10s. 9d. to 13s. 3d.; shorn four and tixtooth wethers, 14s. lOd. to 17s. 4d.; forward shorn four-tooth wethers, to 20s. BUIiNSIDE MARKET. Duncdin, November 17. .'At Rurnside market to-day 164 fat. cattle were penned. The duality on the whole wa-s good. Competition was not so keen as last week, and prices were easier. Best bullocks, £16 to £18: medium, £13 to £14; inferior,"' £11 to £12 10s.; best cows and heifers, £12 to £13; medium, £10 to £11; inferior, £8 to £9; Fat Sbeep—B64 penned. The quality was fairly good, but prices were easier. Best woolly wethers. 40s. .to 425.; extra. 48s.
