Robert Fay pleaded guilty, hoping to escapo with a light sentence, but, when informed that tho minimum penalty was twelve years, withdrew his plea. [Fay, a lieutenant in the German Army, who, with his brother-in-law, Scholz, was arrested in Now York, in connection with plots against the American export of munitions, confessed to being concerned in plots for the placing of bombs on ships carrying munitions. His confession implicates other Germans.]
