Line's Indrapura cleared that port on Friday last- for Wellington, via Australian ports, Auckland, and Napier. The vessel Js expected to arrive here towards the end of January. TONGARIEO LEAVES HOME. Bound for Now Zealand ports the Now Zealand Shipping Company's' Tongarlro is' reported to have left London 'on Friday last. It is understood, that the vessel was to have left Liverpool, but on inquiry at the local office of the company .it was ascertained that no advice had been received as to the liner's' departure. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. W. Oyamis, late of the Moana, has joined the Pateena as second engineer, in placo of Mr. Wishart, who has come ashore for orders. Messrs. D. A. Butler and R. V. Dickey, pursers of the Pateena and Arahura respectively, have exchanged positions. Mr. J. Gray has joined the Hippie as soennd engineer in placo of Mr. H. W. M'Gregor. Mr. G.. M. Eennie has signed on the Kittawa as second engineer. Mr. G. W. Dolling, second engineer of the Komata, having come ashore, Sir. W. Korris, late of the Kittawa, has filled the vacancy. Mr. W. Anderson has joined the Jlokoia as' third engineer. Mr. H. Burrows, delivery clerk ' for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's stevedoring department at Auckland, who is' about to go into camp at Trentiam, was last week presented with' a* suitablyinscribod shaving outfit from his colleagues. Captain E. E. Smith, of the Kanna, and Captain Ruston, of the Rakanoo, have exchanged ships. • Mr. P. H. King has signed on the Mokoia as second officer. The Shaw-SavJll liner Rangatira is expected to leave Port Chalmers this morning, and is due here to-morrow. Departure will be taken for Napier dt daybreak on Sunday. Before proceeding on to southern ports to-day the Paloona will and about 500 tons of cargo hero. The Union Company has been advised that the Koromiko is due from Newcastle with a full load of coal about Thursday or Friday next. At o p.m. to-day the Poherua will leave here with New Plymouth and Onehunga cargo. The Union steamer Kini is due in port from the Bluff, via Oamaru and Timaru, late to-night or early to-morrow morning. She is bringing 4270 crates of cheese for transhipment- to the Rangatira, for Home. The Kini will also land a large general cargo before proceeding oh to Weetport and Grcymouth. The Ruapehu, which is duo in port from London, via- Auckland, this morning wilt berth at the Taranaki Street Wharf to discharge. Well up to time tho Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa arrived from Sydney direct yesterday. With the'exception of. a noth-weat gale and heavy fog- in Cook Strait3_ the vessel's trip was uneventful. She will sail for Lyttelton this 'evening, and will return in time to leavo for Sydney and Hobart at 5 p.m. on Thursday. . Messrs. Bannatyne and Co. advise that the Defender is duo back from Hokitika on Thursday with a full load of timber. Slie will be dispatched for the West Coast the following day. The Government steamer Hinemca will make one of her periodical visits to Cook Strait lights to-morrow. x After putting out the local portion of her London cargo the Ituapehu will go on to Lyttelton, Dunedin, and the Bluff to continue discharge. She will subsequently load at New Zealand ports, and will leave Auckland for London about Dcccmber 15. The coastal steamer Waircui is due at Wellington from Blenheim on Thursday next. After having completed overhaul hero the vessel will re-enter the WellingtonBlenheim 'trade. At the end of this week the Japanese steamer Kwauto Jlaru. which vieited Wellington' recently, will leave Lyttelton for Newcastle to load coal for the, Far East. It transpires that tho full-rigged ship Ooltic Glen hag left Liverpool for Wellington. A part cargo of salt will be discharged at Lyttelton before the vessel visits this port. The coastal steamer John went round to the Patent Slip yesterday niorning to -undergo her annual overhaul on completion of inspection the vessel will leave for thesouth. The Shaw-Savill liner Karamea is due at Wellington from Gisborne some time today.- She will be dispatched for Picton, Lyttelton, and London about Saturday next.
