WOMEN CLERKS TO FILL THE GAPS
TRAINING SCHEME URGED. By Telegraph—Press Association—OopyrttM (Rec. November 15, 11.40 p.m.) London, November 15. The Departmental Committee of Advice on the employment of women has presented an interim report, which states: Clerks of military age number three hundred thousand, of. whom at least half are available for military service. The bulk of the substitutes for them must bo women. . The Committee recommends the Chambers of Commerce, educationalists in leading centres, to organise and traia jivomen clerks as soon possible.
