PREMATURE ACTION. By Ttlesrapli—Press Aesociation. Tlmaru, November 16. The Committee of the ' Chamber of Commerce to-day considered the letter h'oin the Duiiedin Chambor covering the resolution recommending the adoption of conscription forthwith. After discussion the committee unanimously resolved, on the motion of tie Mayor (Mr. Guinness): "In view of the fact that tho Government is gathering statistics under the National Registration Act, this Chamber oonsiders the resolution of the Diuiedin Chamber drastic and premature, and prefers to wait until tho information .be gathered befCre expressing opinions or passing resolutions that might hamper the Government." Some_ members were of the opinion that this is a political question outside the business of Chambers of Commerce.
