In the House of Commons, Mr. Asquith, defending the "GlobS" newspaper suppression, said that Lord Kitchener had never breathed a word about resignation to the King or to Mr. Asquith. Tho Cabinet sent Lord Kitchener to the Near Bast upon receiving serious information.
