In tho Legislative Assembly, the OonuSonwealtE Powers Bill, referring powers to the Commonwealth which the latter was seeking by referendum, wai read a first time. Mr:- Hall, the Attorney General, emphatically denied Mr. Wade's auggestion that tho State's reference of powers to tho Commonwealth was connect ed with the Commonwealth's ten million loan to the States.
