THE UNFORTUNATE LANDING AT SUVLA BAY
(Rec. November 11, 10.45 p.m.} London, November 10. 11l the House of Commons, Mr. J. O. Wedgwood, who won the D.S.O. at the Dardanelles, said that he approved of the campaign,- though it was a gamble. He declined to blame the Cabinet because it turned out so badly. Tho Government ought to bear tho losses without' talking about the decline of British prestige. The Suvla Bay landing was very unfortunate and tho generals responsible should be dealt with in the same effective manner as were the military failures in France.
