SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
— ♦ A't the Sailors' Friend Society last nipjht a pleasant programme was provided by the Thorndon Methodist Mutual Club. Encores testified to tho appreciation of the audience. Competitions were entered into, and added to the enjoyment of the evening. A few words on the drink question were spokeu by tho Missioner (Mr. Moore). At the close a vote of thanks to the performers was carried, and was responded to by Mr. Coadl The following contributed items Misses Clarke, Nicholas, Sissons, Gow, Milesi, Messrs. Coad, Jenkins, and Aitkeu. The pianists were Misses Nicholas, Clarke, and Coad.
