DEFAULTERS MUST TAKE CONSEQUENCES PRIME MINISTER'S WARNING Hundreds of useless National Register schedules have been returned to the Government Statistician among the 150,000 he has received to date. Antiinilitarists and conscientious objectors have set forth their objections to war and preparation for war in divers ways, but not all of them have signed their names to their protests. Other men have not answered the questions completely, but these are being immediately asked to send in amended schedules. The Prime Minister was asked yesterday whether he would make any statement concerning the men who had refused to fill in Registration cards. "The Act is perfectly clear," said Mr. Massey, "and those to whom the Act applies must comply with the law or tako the consequences." ."There will be consequences?" Mr. Massey was asked. "Undoubtedly," replied Mr. Massey. "We can't allow any individuals to shirk responsibility to supply the details required by. the National Registration Act."
