Mr. Rathhone arrived from Sydney yesterday as extra, officer of the Manuka. He has come across for orders Mr. Miller, late of the Mapourika, has joined the Pateena in &. similar capacity. The Corinsa is due from southern ports on Thursday to load for New Plymouth. The Government steamer Hinemoa will leave Onehunga, for Queen Charlotte Sound either to-'morrow ot Thursday. At the Sound she will Icyid a number of oysters for planting there, and will arrive here on Friday. Picton and Hokitika cargo will be taken in at Wellington to-day by tho Defender. She is scheduled to sail at 4 p.m. The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the Mokoia cleared Melbourne at 4 p.m. on Thursday for the iHuff direct. Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. Being duo here on Friday next the vessel will land 466 t-ong of cargo before proceeding on to Bohart and Melbourne at nooni on Saturday. En route from Canadian ports to New Zealand, the 'Shaw-Savill lmer Mamari, which is running under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Adelaide on Sunday, November 7. The vessel is due here about December 5. As she left Sydney at -5 p.m. on Saturday, It.M.S. Moana should arrive here tomorrow afternoon. She will ea.il for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete, on Thursday, at 3 p.m. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Kaikoura is not making a call at Tokomam Bay as was originally intended. She • is at present loading at Gisborne. and will proceed thence to Napier and Wellington, being due hero on Saturday next. Departure will be taken for London on November 16.
