WAIROA FARMERS' CO-OP MEAT COMPANY, LTD.
There was a full attendance of directors, consisting of Mr. J. S. • Jessep (chairman) aud Messrs. J. Witholl, \V. Nilssou, A. B. Carmichael, J. C'orkill, W. D. Powdrell, T. F. Byrne, A. Sinclair, and G. C. Ormond, at the last meeting of the directors'of the Wairoa Farmers' Co-operative Meat Company, Ltd., when the tenders for refrigerating machinery and power'plant were considered, ancl the tender of Messrs. John Chambers and Sons for the complete equipment was accepted. The freezing machinery will be of the latest improved type manufactured by the Haslam Foundry and Engineering Company,-■-Ltd., Derby, England. The power plant will .'consist of two lnrjc Babcock and Wilcox'water tube boilers, two 75 kilowat Browett-Lindley electric generating sets, switchboards, motors, battery, fans, piping; etc., together with all accessories to give a complete refrigerating and power plant, erected and running to the satisfaction of the company's engineer by the end of September. 1916. Tlio agents anticipate no difficulty in' giving delivery of the machinery within the snccifie'd time, as certain portions of the plant are already in stock.
