IN WELLINGTON
The following circular has been sent out by tho Wellington Industrial Association in connection with tlio British Commercial and industrial' Patriotic Exhibition, which is to be hold in Wellington next February:— "'Every right-thinking man is to-day asking himself tho conscience-stirring question: • How can I best serve tho Empire? Tho answer is as clear as tho call; the soldier to tho field of battle; the commercial man to the field of commerce and industry. By otir purchasing of enemy goods in the past wo have helped to build up the pnsemzt 01 ormous strength of our enemies which is being used against us' to-day with sucli terrible and costly effect. Had we. purchased less from Germany and more from our own Empire wo would not to-day be engaged in tho most colossal and bloody war the world has oyer conceived. Of what avail the sacrifice of our men and money if after the war we again purchase the manufactures of Germany and assist her to renew her attempt to dominate the world by the sword. The colossal war bills of the Allies and of Germany have yet to be paid. Which are we going to pay? Surely not our enemy's. Then assist us in educating the public to buy our Empire's goods. . "Under normal conditions, England and- licr Allies aro able to supply all our needs. Wo a're doing \Vithout the manufactures of Germany now, and can do so in the future.
