SUCCESSFUL COUNTER-ATTACK Br Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Paris, November 4. A communique states: "There was sharp grenade fighting in the trenchos in th? Lille Road south-eastward of Keuviile. _ "A rapid vigorous attack enabled us to reoccupy the bulk of the advanced trenches in the Chasse farm district in the Champagne. The enemy was driven out, notwithstanding a desperate resistance and the spraying of liquid fire jets." HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The High Commissioner reports:— London, November 5, 0.40 a.m. _ "At Chausson farm the enemy was ejected from the portions of trenches he bad.captured yesterday.
"Fresh attacks enabled the Germans to enter our-positions insecurely, but without depth."
