The High Commissioner reports:— London, November 4, 11.50 a.m. "The King passed a disturbed night, but is better this morning, and moves with less discomfort." 'A RUMOUR DENIED. (Rec. November 5, 10.45 p.m.) London, November 5. The British "Medical Journal" states that there is no foundation for the rumour that an operation was performed on the King.
