SUMMARY AND FORECAST
Present indications are for squally and unsettled weather, with rain probable generally, snow on higher levels in the south, and colder weather following. Expect Irish westerly winds' northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and nortlierlies shortly elsewhere. The barometer lias a further falling tendency in the north, but is liliely to rise in the south soon. The winds hare veered to increasing westerlies end northerlica sineo lost evening, and the taromoter is again very low in the south. Cloudy and boisterous conditions have been experienced generally, and heavy rain has fallen in the western districts. D. 0. lUTIiS.
