RUAPEHU AT HOBART.
A Press Association message received from UobaTt yesterday states that' the Euapehu arrived there from London, via Town, at 2 p.m. She was expected to continue her journey ou to Wellington, via Auckland, at noon to-day. MAIL STEAMEE FHOJI HOME. Advice has been received by tlio head office of the Shaw, Sarin, and Albion Co. stating that R.M.S. Corinthio' left London on November 1 for Auckland, Wellington, and Port Chalmers. The Corintbic is due here about December 16, and" will land passengers, mails, and periodicals only before proceeding to Auckland to commence discharge of her Home cargo. R.M.S. Tainui, whioh has been fixed to leave- Home for New Zealand ports on November 25, will also come to Wellington to put out mails, passengers, etc.; but. Auckland will be her first port of discharge in the Dominion.
KIA OKA LEAVES THE OAPE. En route from London to Wellington, via Auckland, the Shaw-SaviU liner Kia Oreleft Cape Town on Novombor 2:. She is duo at the northern port on' November 27 and Wellington about December 6.
KWAN.TA MARU, FROM JAPAN. The Kwanto Maru arrived in' port yesterday afternoon from Kobe (Japan). She is bound for Lyttelton and Dunedin, and called in here for bunker coal. The Kwanto Maru is a vessel of 6C04 tone, and is in. charge of Oaotaih Holme. The vessel left Japan early in October. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Captain Miles, who visited Wellington in the same vessel some months ago, is still in command of the Physa, and has with him the following officers:—Chief, Mr. W. H. M'Dowell; second, Mr. F. Gray; third, Mr. TV. J. Murison; chief engineer, Mr. D. U. Anderson; third, Mr. E. V. Polard; fourth, Mr. It. Osborne. Captain J. Mackay is in command of the Dongarra, now at Wellington, Captain D. J. Watson, of Wellington, having left the vessel some time ago in order to take command of the Bulla. Captain Maokay's officers are as follow:—Chief, Mr. Hyde; second, Mr. Angus; third, Mr. W. G. Parker; chief engineer, Mr. Fairweather; second, Mr. M. Nicholl; third, Mr. Bennett; fourth, Mr. Peters; fifth, Itr. Lucas; purser, Mr. F. Ivcns; chief steward,' Mr. Webb. Mr. H. J. Bryne is in charge of the radio apparatus.
Captain Angus, who arrived as second officer of the Dongarra yesterday, was well known in Wellington as surveyor of ships.
The Moeraki was to have left Lyttoltoni at 11 .p.m. yesterday. ' She is due here today, and will take her departure for Sydney direct and Hobart' at 5 p.m. ■
A cablegram received from Vancouver announces the departure of R.M.S.. Makura from that port for Auckland, via Honolulu and Suva. The liner is due at Auckland on November 15, and will leftve the same day for Sydney direct.
The Shaw-Savill liner Rangatira is ex: pected to leave for Lyttelton and other southern ports'with London oargo to-day.

The Union Company's Kittawa will lay up here for survey shortly. According to wireless advice the Orari is expected to arrive at Auckland from; Liverpool, via way ports, early this morning. She will leave the northern port on Tuesday. November 9, and is duo- here about November 12.
• The local agents for the U.S. and A. Line advise that their chartered 6teamer Indian Monarch will not arrive at Wellington from New York till about December 10.
En route from Sydney to Boston end Now York - the Australian ' Government steamer Dongarra (ox the German steamer Stolzenfels) arrived here yesterday. She is under charter to Messrs. Bert and Co.. of Sydnev, for whom the F. and S. Line aro local agents.. In addition to bunker coal the Dongarra will load a small quantity of general cargo here, and iB expected to continue her journey to-day. The Talune left Suva on Wednesday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due on Monday next. About 1590 case's of bananas will he transhipped there for Wellington. The Karamu* was expected to leave Westport last evening for Fiji to load fruit for WeUington. She is due hero about November 16. •
Although the Maori did not get away from Wellington till 8.15 p.m..on Wednesday she managed to arrive at Lyttelton at 7.10 a.m. yesterday, and caught the first express for the south. Captain Carey, of tlio Mapourika, reports that the Union Company's Karu, which had an accident to her machinery whilst bound from Wellington to 'Westport,. was at Nelson yesterday effecting permanent repairs.
