CARNIVAL HANDICAP, 500 sovs. One mile and a quarter.—Jarwan, 7st. 91b., 1; Flash of. Steel, Bst. Gib.. 2; Hush Money, Bst. 81b., 3. Seven others started. Won by threo-quarters of a length, with a neck between second and third. Time, 2min. ejsec. The winner led nearly all the way. OAKS STAKES, 500 sovs. One mile and a half. Also started: Mnemonic and Comcdia. Rouen led to the turn, but Dame Quickly passed herat the entrance to the straight. At the distance the three placed horses were on level terms.
