DI'NEDIN'S PROTEST ENDORSED. A special meeting of the council of tha Wellington Chamber of Commcrco was held yesterday morning, and it was decided to communicate with, the Rfc Hon. the Prime Minister, mttuiating that the Wellington. Chamber heartily supports the following resolution of protest, which was sent to the Prime Minister by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce :—

"That the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce desires to-enter its emphatic protest against the unpatriotic and ill advised utterances, by irresponsible war correspondents, of the Ashmead Bartlett type and others who, apparently for selfish ends, are doing their best to damage' their country's interests and the interests of our Allies; that other Chambers be asked to make similar protests, and that the Prime Minister be requested to cable the resolution to Mr. 'Asquith, requesting that it be giyen the widest publicity in Great Britain/'
