SUPREME COURT A CASE BEFORE TWO JUDGES Their Honours Mr. Justice Edwards and Mr. Justice Chapman eat 011 the Supremo Court bench yesterday for tile purpose of hearing an application to review the decision of Mr. justice Chapman in the case of Thomas Spire Powell v. tho Standard Fire and Marine Insurance Company. Tho claim was for £100, money alleged to be due on a policy taken out with tlio Standard Company to insure No. 4 Co-operative Building Society against any loss by reason of the ivant of honesty of a person in the employment of the society. The claim was lodged in the Magistrate's Court by Powell, and the defendant company asked to. have it removed into the Supreme' Court, alleging as grounds various reasons why the defence could not bo properly conducted under the procedure of the Lowor Court. Mr. Justice Chapman declined to inako an order for the removal of the case, and it is his decision that the Standard Company now desires should be-reviewed.

Mr. C. H. Treadwell appeared for tho Standard Company in support of the application, which was opposed by Mr. C. W. Tringham 011 behalf of the plaintiff. After hearing legal argument, their Honours reserved decision.
