BRITISH TORPEDO BOAT SUNK

The Admiralty states that torpedoboat 96 (130 tons, 28 knots, built in 1893-94) was sunk yesterday at Gibraltar, through a. collision with a mercantile auxiliary vessel. Two officers and nine of the crew aro missing. THE WRECKED CRUISER ARGYLL SPLENDID DISCIPLINE ON BOARD. London, November 2. The wonderful discipline displayed by the crew was the outstanding feature of the stranding of the cruiser Argyll. There was terrible weather, and it was pitch dark at the time. Tho, ship was uadly smashed. The men quietly took up their stations on the wave-swept decks. . Tho. sound of tho rending hull was plainly'audible. The men waited, half-frozen, for developments, in the Navy's finest spirit. Called by wireless message, the rescuers skilfully took off everyone, despite the darkness and tho rough sea.
