IN AID OF THE TOBACCO FUND
CHORAL CLUB CONCERT. 'A yery fine entertainment was' given by the Wellington Choral Club in the Concert Chamber last night in aid of the Tobacco Fund, to provide our soldiers at tho front with smoking requisites. The programme was varied in character, but the several performers maintained a very even and a very high standard of excellence. The two choruses were especially acceptable. An unusually larg» proportion of elocutionary items in the programme, and of these it may be said generally that they were very good indeed. A little dramatic sketch made a lively conclusion to tho entertainment.. Following were the performers who appeared: —Miss Vvonne Gibson, Miss Irene Fairclough, Miss Freda Walter, Miss Violet Mueller, Miss Nancy Redstone, Miss E. Harper, Miss Walter, Miss Teychenne, Miss Thelma Aitken, Miss Marie Fix Miss Ruby Scott, Messrs. L. W. Hanlon, Eric_ Meyer, G. ■C. Russell, Zante Wood, W. Goudie, Norman Aitken, H. F. AVood, and Bently Russel.
