FRUIT FOR THE BLUEJACKETS
■ ONLY A' FAIR RESPONSE. Lieutenant Nimmo is interesting .himself energetically in securing contributions in money or- kind with which to supply the bluejackets of the Pyramus, rhilomel, and tie Pioneer, who are engaged in patrol duties in the hottest zone on earth, with canned fruits. The response so far has been fair, but not up to Lieutenant Nimmo's expectations, and that gentleman fears that if the response is not more prompt and liberal that it will only beatast-e all round for .tie Jack Tars.
