V wireless message lias been received from Captain Aldwell, of R.M.S. Marama, stating that he expected his vessel to make port from San Francisco at 10 a.m. today. Tho mail steamer will berth at Jervois Quay. No. 16, to land 1900 tons of cargo, included in which are 64 tons of Island fruit for Wellington, 56 for Lyttelton, and 34 for Dunedin. The Mnrama will also land 876 tons of through cargo for transhipment to the Moeraki for Sydney. It is expected that she will get away for Port Chalmers to-morow 'for the purpose of being fitted up as a hospital ship;

MOERAKI FROM SYDNEY. At 3 p.m. yesterday the Moeraki arrived from Hob-art and Sydney direct", and berthed at the Queen's Wharf No. 1 south. Fine weather wis experienced on the run across. The Mocrdki will sail for Lyttelton at 3 p.m. to-day. returning to Wellington in time to leave for Sydney on Friday next.

The Wakatu has made a run to M'Menamen's Station at Cape Terawhiti with stores. She will sail for Kaikoura and Lyttelton as usual, to-morrow. Scales, of Wellington, will bring a load of coal to Lyttelton. Subeequeiitly she will take the wool loading berth for Home, being due to sail from' New Zealand about December 9 ■ The ex-German steamer Stolzenfels, now named the Dongarra, is on route from Sydney to New York. ..She is oxpected to make a call at Wellington to-morrow for bunker coal. . After a serious delay on account of the coal strike 'at Newcastle, the F. and S. chartered steamer Orari has left there for Auckland. She is duo at the northern port to-morrow and at Wellington about November 9. Having been overhauled nnd recaulkcd in various places helow her waterlinc, the schooner Rachaet Cohen came out of dock at Port Chalmers on Saturday. She will, resume her journey to tho Macquarie Islands after reloading her- cargo arid stores. Towards tho middle of next month the chartered i steamer Ocean Monarch, 4511 tone, will in New Zealand waters for the purpose of loading wool for Home under the auspices of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company. The steamer Quito, which was built at Port Glasgow in 1900 by Messrs. W. Hamilton and Co., and waa owned by Messrs. Andrew Weir and Co.,'has been sold to East Const owners for about £45,000. ' The Tarawera left Auckland at 2.30 p.m. yesterday with 250 tons of .cargo for Wellington. Oils will be made at Gisborne and Napier coming down the coast, and port should be made on : Friday next. R.M.S. Turakina is ' due from Lyttelton Dhis morning to continue Homeward loading. Departure will be taken for Auckland on Saturday, and thence the liner will proceed to London. 1
