Villijabmir Stcfansson has cabled to tho ".Daily Chronicle" from Banks" Land that his'supply vessel, the North Star, sailed oil August 4, under tho command of Captain Milkins, a South Australian. Her destination is Prince Patrick or Melville Island, via Cap® Prince Alfred. The schooner Polar Bear is also sailing, with Stefansson in command of the northern expedition. He has a hundred dogs, and his equipment is the best since the Karluk was crushed in the ice and lost off Wrangel Island last year. He will finish the exploration of the ice westward of the 146thmeridian, after which he espccts to return south.
