The majority of the peasants are at a loss how to spend their time and superfluous cash. There have been cases of suicido owing to thoir empty, lustreless life. The teetotal interests, nlive to this danger, arc providing libraries, lectures, and cinemas. Otherwise tlio reform is entirely satisfactory. Tho villagers aro rolling in money' aiul food, and are purchasing dairying and farming utensils in large quantities.
