SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications are lor moderate to strong westerly winds generally, veering to increasing nort-lierlies shortly In and southward of Cook Strait. Changeable and showery conditions are probable in the West Coast oiul southernmost districts of the South Island, and fair to cloudy weather elsewhere. Barometer unsteady. Squally and showery conditions, prevailed last nifrht in the West Coast and southernmost portions of the South Island, but fair weather h«6 ruled to-day.
