Munnik, a State engineer, wlho, charged with libelling the Premier (General Botha) by alleging that ha had .not accounted for 134 gold bars, worth three-quarters of a' million, which he had received . from ex-President Kruger, after the Boer War, was fined £50, or in default three months' imprisonment. He lodged an appeal.
