The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club opened their championship series on Saturday afternoon at their range, Broadway, Miramnr, at ranges 300 and 500 yards, 10-shot match. The best shoot for the day was by H. Hunt, with 44, 48—total 92—Hunt notching on 4S at 500 yards. He was closely followed by a B Class shot, A. Hams, with 90, he notching 'on 47 at 500 yard®. The weather on Saturday was, stormy, the wind being very, changeable and light not to good for shooting. The attendance on the ran»o was small. Tho ranges for next Saturday will bo 600, 700, and '800 yards, seven-shot match.
