The salt air is (says our Napier correspondent) having a very deteriorating effect on tho electrical wires in the vicinity of tlio Marine Farado, and the Napier Borough Council has decided to replace .them as soon as possible. The Govonimont is inviting applications, by advertisement, for three members of the Board of TradOj to be set lip under tlio Cost of Living Act of last session. The Minister of Industries and Commerce is to be president of the board. One of the members will, receive £1000 per annum, and the other two £600 per annum. The appointments will be for a term of tlireo years, and the appointees will be required to give their whole time to tho work of tho board. At the end of the three years they may bo reappointed. Applications are being received up to November 15 next.
