LABOUR SPORTS
FIELD DAY AT NEWTOWN PARK. The sports gathering which was to have followed up the procession on Labour Day, but -was, on account of tho unfavourable weather conditions, postponed; was held on Saturday afternoon. Bad, but not impossible, weather conditions prevailed, and the attendance of thp public suffered accordingly. Among I those present were the Mayor (Mr. 0. P. Luke), and Sir Joseph and Lady I Ward.
