OBITUARY
SIR T. F. BUXTON. By Telegraph—Press AssociaOon-OonyrteM London, October 28. Tho death is announced of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, G.C.M.G., a former Governor of' South Australia. [Sir Thomas Buxton, who was in his 79th year, served in Parliament as member for King's Lynn, Norfolk, from 1865 to 1868. He had a long connection with the Volunteer movement as Colonel of tho 2nd Tower Hamlets Volunteers, and in 1595 was sent as Governor to South Australia, where ho remained three years. _ Ho had been President of the British and Foreign Anti-Slavery . Society since 1899. Sir Thomas married in 1862 a daughter of tho Earl of Gainsborough, and had' a family of fivo sons and five-daughters.]
