BRITISH PATRIOTIC EXHIBITION.

A meeting of the committee of the British Patriotic Exhibition was held on Wednesday, Mr. L. Ashcroft Edwards presiding. Messrs. J. F. Atkins, E. T. Doddrell, L. T. Watiiins,. Jas. Reid, H. H. Read, E. Bull, T. Ballinger, William Smith, and George Winder were also present. It was announced that the Town Hall had been booked for the dates fixed in February, and the small hall would be available for refreshment rooms. In tlia event of the applications for 6pace exceeding tbo number of stalls laid out in tho large hall, arrangements will be made to erect stalls in the corridors. The complete plan of stalls showing upset price was approved for printing and distribution amongst intending exhibiI tors. The meeting accorded a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. E. T. Doddrell for his preparation of plans and figures as to the gross income from sale of stalls. A circular for distribution amongst Chambers of Commerce, associations, and business houses in the Dominion was submitted and approved. Applications for space must reach tbo committee on or before November 15, accompanied by a deposit of £3, and a meeting of intending exhibitors will bo held at the council room, Wellington Central Chamber of Commerce, at 3.30 p.m., when an auction for space on the applications received will be conducted. A purchaser shall have the right to purchase an adjoining stall at a price equal to the pbrceiitage of increase on the upset price paid for the first stall. A purchaser will bo allowed to dispose of part of his stall at a. price not exceeding the original prico paid per square foot-. I The name of the exhibition was altered to British Commercial and Industrial Patriotic Exhibition. The opening night was fixed for Saturday, February 19 191.6, instead of Monday, February 21.' A committee -was set up to secure necessary stationery, correspondence seal, and arrange for a franking 0 f postages.
