TWO DEATHS

AMONG THE TOFUA'S MEN. Two deaths occurred among the Tofua's returning soldiers on the voyage from Suez to New Zealand. The first death was that of Pto. N. Lean, of the Otago Regiment (Main Body), who succumbed to phthisis 011 the voyage down tho Red Sea, and was buried at Aden. The second death v:as that of Pto. G. 0. Gathercole, of the lGtli Company of tho Auckland Battalion (Third Reinforcements), who died of typhoid fever during tho passage of the Indian Ocean, and was buried at sea.
