'At tlie inquest oil the victims of the Zeppelin air raid oil London, tile solicitor representing the Admiralty said that Admiral Sir Porcy Scott (in charce \ of tlio air defence of London) had authorised the statement that tihe number of anti-aircraft- suns 'had recently been increasod, and further improvements in their position, number, and character were contemplated. Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr. Balfour (First Lord of the Admiralty) stated that the Admiralty was responsible for the air defenco of London, but tlio Army had charge of certain plates like fortifiod ports.

Tho authorities announce the arrest of a German with an alleged forged American passport, and a man of Turkish extraction. Sentence was passed 011 the former, and the latter will be courtmartialled. Both charges were for attempting to collect and communicate information to tho eiiomy. .
