SOME PLAIN STATEMENTS. . . (By Toloeranh.—Press Association.! Christehurch, October 27. At a meeting of the Citizens' Defenco Corps, a member 6aid there was no disguising the fact that the example of some leading citizens in encouraging young men to take part in sport every Saturday was retarding recruiting. It was natural for young men to enjoy themselves, and while older people encouraged them iliey could not _be blamed. They should "face the music." Tlio mooting decided to arrange a conferenc of employers and tho Defenco Minister in order to discuss tho matter.
