CHANGES IN RUNNING. Changes in the running of the West Coast steamer from Wellington aro announced. Prom November 8 the AraJiura will leave here on Mondays at 12.45 p.m. iustoad of Saturdays, as has been the case for several years past. She is due back here on Fridays, and will sail at noon on fliiturdays for Picton direct, returning here the same evening. The Patcena will leave here on Mondays at 9 p.m. for Nelson only. Being duo back hero on Tuesdays, via Picton, she wi'l sail again at . 12.45 p.m. on Wednesdays for Picton and Nelson. In future on Fridays she will leave Wellington for Picton and Nelson, and will return to Wellington direct from Nelson on Saturdays. This new time-table vail como into operation on November 8.
THE RANGATIRA DUE NOVEMBER 1. The Rangatira arrived at Auckland from Loi'don, via Capo Town and Hobart, at 9 a.m. yesterday After discharging there the vessel will come on to Wellington on November 1. Subsequently the Rangatira will visit Lyttelton and Port Chalmers before returning to this port. Napier will be her next port of call, then Auckland. She is scheduled to clear the northern port about November 24 for London. R.M.S. lONIC LEAVES DURBAN. The head oflico of the Shaw, SaviU, and Albion Oompany has been advised that R.M.S. lonic, on route from Wellington to London, continued her journey from Durban on October 22. Jir. A. Ilarcourt, late third officer on tho Mokoia. has resigned from the service of the Union Company, having been appoint «d to a position in the Navy, and has left for England. He is an ex-cadot from the Apariina, and has just passed his examination for a chief officer's certificate, so that his promotion has been very rapid.
Leaving Greymouth at 10 a.m. the Mapourika, passed through Wcstport yesterday afternoon. A call will be made at Nelson lo.liny, aDd Wellington should be reached lat* to-night or early to-morrow morning. The Karamu will leave Dunedin to-rnor-ven lor (tamaru, Tiniatu, Lyttelton, Wellington, Westport, and Greymouth. .'Departure of the Orari from Sydney for New Zealand ports has been further delayed on account of the coal strike at Newcastle. The vessel is en route from Liverpool to this port. The ICoromilto is proceeding from hero to Westport to !oa<l for Auckland, tlienco Newcastle, to take in coal for Wellington. A full lead of "shell" ease, oil was brought to Auckland by the British Imneriau Oil Company's Vhyna from Singapore yesterday.
