After the election of officers has taken place, and the reports of the various sections and sub-committees have been received, Dr. C. A. Cotton, F.G.S., will read a paper on "Block Mountains in New Zealand." Tho subject will be illustrated by numerous lantern slides. This is the final meeting shown on the syllabus of the year, but the council propose to hold an extra meeting to allow members to hoar a lecture by. Dr. L. Cockayne on "The Physiology of Scenery." Members ato invited to bring their friends 1 to these meetings. Better the organisation, better the ser-' vice.
