AIR ATTACK ON VENICE
HUN VANDALS AT WORK By Telegraph—Press Assoclation-Oopyrleht New York, October 25. • A Keuter message'from Rome states that Teutonic aeroplanes attacked Venice. One bomb fell in the Piazzetta at St. Mark's, but did 110 damage. A sculptured ceiling in another church ivas crushed. i FOUR PAINTIIVGS DAMAGED. Rome, October 25. Austrian aeroplanes bombed the Piazzetta of St. Mark's, Venice, and also the church of Degti Scalzi, damaging famous paintings by Tintoreto and Veronese. s GREAT INDIGNATION IN ITALY. (Rec. Ocotber 26, 8.5 p.m.) Rome, October 26. Three Austrian aeroplanes renewed air attack on Vcmice this morning, their bombs wounding several people. Little damage was done. There is great indignation in Italy at tho barbarous destruction of the Ticpolo frescoes, and the priceless ceiling in the Chiesa Degli Scalzi (Church of the Bare-footed Friars), built in 1649-89
