Mr. Edwards, of Christchurch, carried off three out or eight races. Tho totalisator receicts were Ji13,376 for the day, making for tho meeting, as against £21,3(>0 last year. Results:—' TRIAL TROT HANDICAP (harness):One, mile and a half.—King Capitalist, scr., 1; Roskiil Belle, 16sec., 2; Congo, i sec., 3. Scratched: Miss Marvin, Downs, and Hauraki. Tho favourite won easily. Time, 3min. iflsec. INNOVATION HANDICAP (saddle). One mile and a half.—Salamander, 14sec., 1: Arrah Wanna, 13sec„ <2; Skylark, 7 sec., 3. Scratched: Striker. Tho placed horses led all the way. Skylark was favourite. Timo, 3min. 47sec. ALEXANDRA HANDICAP (harness). Two miles—Wallace Wood, scr., 1; Bell Gray Usee., 2; Dr. Chutney, sscc„ 3.
