DEATH OF A MARRIED WOMAN
RESULT OF AN ILLEGAL OPERATION. (J!jr Tolsgrap'i.—l'rcM Association.) Duncdin, October 22. At the inquest on Mrs. Catherine Stanley, who died .'ill'the Hospital on October 0, tlie Coroner, Mr. Widdowson, returned a verdict .that death 'was tho result of an illegal operation to proeuro miscarriage. In summing-up Mr. Widdowson accused tho husband of despicable cowardice by his failure to inform tho doctors of the interference; otherwise her life might have been saved. Mr. Widdowson also said deliberate perjury had been committed by somebody during the inquest. Tiie police arc investigating the matter with a- view to further action.
