SWIMMING
THORNDON CLUB. The annual mooting; of the Thorodon Swimming Club was held last evening. Mr. T. Rona.yno presided. The report and tho balance-sheet (showing a, credit of £19) were adopted. Officers were elected as follow:—Patron, The Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward; president, Mr. T. Ronaync; secretary, Mr. J. D. Burns: treasurer, Mr. H. W. Harris; vice-presidents, Dr. Anderson, tho Hon. A. L. Hedman, Dr. Izard, Messrs. J. E. Henrys, J. P. Maxwell, H. Beauchamp, 0. Brice, H. Nelson, H. Lee, R. 'W. Holmes, 6. AJdous, J. I'. Atkins, H. W. Cooper, and R. Fletcher, M.P.; Captain, Master J. Garrett; vice-captain, Master Harold Desmond; handicapper, Mr. A. Shearer; committee, Messrs. C. Slieehy, F. Desmond, Gr. Saunders, W. Lomas, A. W. Smith, F. Reynolds, F. R. "Webster, A. Shearer; delegate to the 'Wellington Centre, Mr. H. W. Harris. Fouf now members were elected. It was stated that Mr. G. Saunders will donate a trophy for the encouragement of the boys.
