A glance at tlio box plan at tho Brig, tot Piano Co. yesterday showed that the Koyal Wellington Choral Societv had rnado a good choico in selecting "Elijah" for its second concert of the season, which' work will bo performed at tho Town Hall oil Thursday next. Up to four o'clock yesterday over SOO eeats had been reserved, so thoso persons who intend being present should visit the Bristol bos office and mark off their seats; 3s. and 2s.eeats can bo reserved without extra chargo. In view of tho fact that Mr. Bernard Page is to make his first apijearaneo as conductor of tho Choral Society at this concert a food deal of interest is being taken in this oratorio. Tho soloists engaged nro:—Sopranos, Mrs. Gower Burns and Mrs. N. Laukshear; contralto, Miss Mina Caldow; tenor, Mr. Martin Duff; baritone, Mr. John Prousc; The Youth, Master Hodney Pankhurst. With snch aii array of artists and tho chorus and orchestra well up to their work, it is expected that the performance of "Elijah", will bo oub of tho finest interpretations! yet given in this city. Rehearsals will bo held next week; on Tuesday in St. John's at 8 o'clock, whilo the final will bo held in tho Town Hall on Wednesday at 7.30. Only members taking part will be admitted to the final rehearsal. Ono shilling tickets will bo on sale at box offico on Tuesday.
