SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
There was a big audience last niglit at the Sailors' Friend Socioty, when Miss L. Sciitchard gave a concert. It being Trafalgar Day patriotic choruses wcro miicli onjoyod. Tho encores wore frequent, some performers being recalled again and again. The men expressed their thanks for those cheery evenings with great warmth. Tho competitions were much enjoyed; tho prizes were donated by the hostess. Tlie pfrformors were:—Tho Misses Owen (3), M'lntyre, and Baker, .Messrs. Cogdale, M'llwain. and Masters Sherwood and Steptoe. Miss Jauscn played the accompaniments.
