'OUR DAY" FUND
APPEAL BY THE BRITISH RED CROSS AND ORDER OF ST. JOHN. By Telegraph—Press .Association— Copyright (Rec. October 21, lO.io p.m.) London, October 21. The British. Red Cross Socicty and the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, combining on Thursday next, will carry out a ladies' collecting campaign, entitled "Our Day" Fund. The King has contributed £5000, and Queen Mar.v and Queen Alexandria issued a joint appeal for support. New Zealand ladies are collecting in Victoria Street, and the Australians in the Strand. (Rec. October 21, 7.30 p.m.) London, October 20. The King, in a letter, expresses satisfaction at tho splendid work which has been achieved by the Red Cross and the St. John organisation, to wliioli wounded soldiers had personally testified to His Majesty.
