TO FIGHT ZEPPELIN RAIDERS
EXPERT GUNNERS WANTED By Telegraph—Press Association—CoDyrighi (Rcc. October 21, 8.55 p.m.) London, October 21. 11l the House of Lords Lord Portsmouth said he understood that the Admiralty had warning of the Zeppelins, and suggested that the public should be warned. N Lord Sydenham expressed the opinion that there was much random shooting. If gunners had been taken from the trenches, where they were daily practiced against aircraft the results would have been different. The object was to prevent Zeppelinists shelling their targets. It would be useless and dangerous to keep our aircraft cruising overhead for thoy could only wreck the Zep-pc-lins by bombing. Fighting of this description overhead London would involve great danger. The aeroplanes' best chajice would be to find the Zep-. pelins when the latter were approaching tho coast before nightfall.
