SHEARERS'DEMANDS
Our Masterton correspondent reports tliat shearers put in an appearance at one of the largest stations in the Mas!t'erton district and demanded 255. pei hundred for shearing, and as this was refused tliey packed up their traps and left. Some of the Wairarapa settlers are conceding 255. per hundred, -but many intend adhering to tho award rate, which is £1 per hundred.
