*- ROUTE MARCHES COMING. ' . A meeting of the executive of tie sports bodies of Wellington considered tlie question of reoniiting last iugn . Dr \ K. Nowman, M.P., presided. Captain Donald Simson, who has returned from tie front, said - that .all re-retted that recruiting was slowing upT and he suggested that routs marches should be held several times every week. Men returned from the front could march in_ khaki, and men enlisted could march m mufti. A band could head the marches., which, in addition to assisting recruiting, would be useful as training. _ Jlr V A. Marryatt suggested that the route marches should bo held at week-ends for men of tiio National Heserve. men enlisted, men not yet of recruiting age, and bo on. Another member of the committee suggested that, drill should be held after* the cricket matches. Besides being good training, this would serve, tq imnress on the people the fact- that the position must bo faced seriously. l\ir W.
