QUEENCARNIVAL AT GORE

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Core, October 20. At the crowning cereiuqny of the Eastern District Country Queen (Mrs. Edith H. Pinckney AVaikai) there was a large attendance, both afternoon and evening. A choir of 250 from Invercargill and a large orchestra took part in the proceedings. Tile carnival was a complete success, and was held for the benefit of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund.
