WANGAXUI MEN FAEEWELLED. ' . Wanganul, October 19. ' Ono hundred and thirty-live n/en left for Trentham. this morning. They were given an enthusiastic senl-ofF bv a muster of the National Reserve and the public. A- march-by of the contingent through the streets yesterday resulted in record enlistments for one day ; thirtytwo names being given in. This result is looked upon as a strong argument in favour of local camps and local demonstrations as against the centralisation policy. NAPIER CONTINGENT. ~ - Napier, Cctooer IS. Fifty men were wanted yesterday to fill the Napier quota leaving to-day for Trentham camp.
